Austin Fuchs is a random 21-year old with no professional writing experience who believes that people in today’s world rarely reject God, they simply reject Christians. In this climate, it is time to get back to what Jesus taught–before power, greed, money, and politics got in the way.
Before Jesus partook in the “Last Supper,” he took off his outer robe and, brandished with a bowl of water and a towel, washed the feet of his disciples. After washing everyone’s feet, he then told the twelve to go and wash everyone’s feet.
This message is simple: go and serve. Go and love. Go and make yourself a servant of others, a servant of the world–that is what it means to follow Christ.
In world that values money, possessions, power, popularity, and status, Jesus says to go become a servant.
Austin is on a quest to conform to servanthood–a quest to conform to love.
This blog is a brief record of that quest.
I really like what you are doing, Austin. I’m always searching for pockets of wisdom in the world. You seem to be wise in the wisdom of Christ.
And your writing is professional-quality. When does someone become a “professional” writer? The most common answer is: as soon as someone pays you for writing something. Quality isn’t the prime consideration.
Keep up the good work.
